Community Engaged Learning is a structured learning experience that combines community engagement with preparation, reciprocity, and reflection. It has potential to improve gaps in knowledge and practice and to connect students and community partners in order to collaboratively address social issues. Courses that integrate community engagement together with course content give students the opportunity to learn and understand concepts presented in class while aligning real world issues with application as an integral part of the learning experience. Participants of this session are encouraged to bring a course syllabus.
